The Salem Area Adult Daycare Center offers flexible care options to families. Many families today are responsible for taking care of aging parents or family members with disabilities. For these families, care is a fulltime job. Salem Area Adult Daycare Center is designed to assist families by providing personal care, activities, socialization and supervision during the day while family members pursue their jobs and other responsibilities. Clients stay for a few hours or for the entire day.

Salem Area Adult Daycare Center provides
an integrated program designed to address each individual’s physical,
psychosocial, cognitive and functional capabilities. The goal is
to enable each individual to remain in his or her surroundings, maintaining
the highest possible levels of dignity, independence, health and safety.
Basic services include:
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), including bathing, hair care, fingernail and toenail care, etc.
- Monitoring and supervision
- Crafts, games and other activities to enhance each client’s social interaction
- Noon meal, plus morning and afternoon snacks
Salem Area Adult Daycare Center is equipped for adults needing nursing or rehabilitative therapy following hospital or nursing home discharge or for those with chronic disabilities. Transportation and other services are available.
